Q-1 Tell us about yourself, your hobbies, your educational background and any other exciting thing about you.
Hailing from Kota, Rajasthan, the renowned Educational Hub of India, I am currently pursuing B.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT Bombay. My college experience has been unique, with three semesters of online learning because of the COVID pandemic. When I’m not hitting the books, you can find me on the cricket field on weekend mornings, honing my skills and staying active. In my free time, I love to indulge in old Bollywood movies, immersing myself in the rich culture and timeless storytelling of Indian cinema.
And, I must admit, I’m a massive fan of TMKOC (Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah), an Indian sitcom that never fails to bring a smile to my face. The perfect escape from the stresses of daily life. In a nutshell, I’m a passionate civil engineering student with a love for cricket, Bollywood movies, and TMKOC. I’m excited to see where my journey takes me and what adventures lie ahead.
Q-2 How would your friends/family/acquaintances describe you?
Well, I’m a bit of an enigma, to be honest. Some might say I’m a bit lazy at times, but I prefer to think of myself as dedicated. I have a real passion for perfection, but sometimes, my attention to detail can backfire. One thing that I take great pride in is my ability to help others. If I have the knowledge and ability to assist someone, I’m always happy to lend a hand. While I may come across as introverted at first, I’m always willing to engage and connect with others once I feel comfortable. I may be a bit of a paradox, but that’s what makes me unique.
Q-3 Why did you choose SNV for your internship and how will you add value to the fund?
As a member of the Entrepreneurship Cell at IIT Bombay, I’ve always been drawn to the world of venture capital. The thrill of discovering and investing in game-changing startups, as seen on Shark Tank India, fascinated me. That’s why I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to intern at a VC firm, especially one as innovative as SNV. What’s even more exciting is the chance to work in the cutting-edge industry of Generative AI. With Ajay Sir’s guidance, I’ll be exploring the critical areas that will shape future investments in this space. My aim is to make bold, segmented findings that will help SNV identify the most promising Generative AI companies to add to their portfolio. I’m eager to dive deep into the world of Generative AI and discover the impact it will have on other sectors in the future. This internship is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the VC industry and make a meaningful contribution to SNV’s mission of investing in the most promising startups.
Q-4 What are you looking to learn by the end of your internship and what are you most looking forward to?
The world of startups has always fascinated me, and I’m eager to learn more about the business perspective of investing in them. By gaining a deeper understanding of market research and analysis, I’ll be able to bring valuable insights to the table and make informed decisions about the future of this decade’s leading technologies. By learning about the market and its intricacies, I’ll be able to develop a keen eye for identifying promising startups and understanding what makes them tick. Ultimately, my goal is to gain a holistic understanding of the startup ecosystem and become a valuable asset to any team looking to make strategic investments.
Q-5 What are your future plans and how SNV will prepare you for the same?
As I embark on my career journey, I’m drawn to roles that blend my passions for business, technology, and management. I’m eager to explore the latest trends and innovations in these fields and make a meaningful impact. That’s why I’m excited about the opportunity to work with SNV. Through this experience, I’ll gain valuable insights into market research, business strategy, and investments in startups.
